lol it me! there is actually a number of “she deserves to be raped”, “why is she wearing that if she doesn’t want to be touched”, “attention whore”, comments on that picture. i don’t mind the picture being posted. what i mind is the rape comments. i wanted to report it and have it taken down but i guess when you report someone’s post/picture on facebook, facebook makes you essentially let them know you’re reporting it. so what does that mean? it means i’d have a very big chance of getting harassed and threatened. oh AND facebook is totally cool with rape jokes, and even rape threats. so yeah, fuck facebook and fuck dudes.
I fucking hate men
The difference between straight men and lesbians:
Their thoughts: RAEP!
mine: “but how is the chest piece staying on? And isn’t she cold?”
Honestly, wonder how they are staying up to? Is it double-sided tape? Is that tape really that strong?
When I used to cosplay, I used duct-tape to hold shit in place.
(Try binding with it. HellNO homie)
One time I grabbed electrical tape by accident. My costume had a lot of pleather, it was AUGUST and I sweated (obviously).
Halfway through the day it feels like the tape is coming loose, and I can feel sweat dripping down my back. I figure the sweat’s killing the adhesive, but I power through.
As the day progresses, my back feels itchy, and sore, and I figure, well, I’ve got tape on it, of course it does.
I get back to the hotel room, take off my top and realize, HOLYFUCK
Because it wasn’t sweat that had been leaking down my back all day, it had been fluid from the massive blood-blister on my back.
The electrical tape had adhered to the epidermis and literally separated a layer of skin, which had filled with blood which was slowly leaking from under the rape.
That itching I had felt was the skin pulling away.
I had to shower to get it off, it took the skin with it, and let me tell you: dollar store spray-in silver hair-dye on an open wound is a level of pain no one needs to experience.
The front desk actually sent security up, because the room beside ours heard me screaming and thought something was wrong. My gf opened the door, ushered them into the washroom where I was curled in the tub sobbing while the water flushed the dye out and they turned on their heel and left.
I can only imagine the NOPE stories.
binding with tape is EXTREMELY unsafe, no wonder that happened! :( an advice to cosplayers who can’t afford binders for cosplay is to use a tight sports bra or compression underwear (turn upside down, cut a hole where your head goes, wear as you would wear a sports bra), never ever tape or ace bandages!
